Our Girls in Junior Handling

Our girls, Alyssa and Michelle began junior handling in 2004, they have both done very well, and we are extremely proud of them both! The girls qualified for the Alberta Junior Handling Provincials each year since 2006.

Both have been high point winners in their respective classes, Alyssa won the Arkeno Award in 2008 for the highest points earned in Alberta. 2009 brought great excitement to the Gaudet household as both girls won their classes at Provincials and Alyssa won Best Overall Junior. Alyssa represented Alberta in Brantford, Ontario at the December 2009 at Nationals and had a great time.

In 2010, Michelle won the Arkeno Award for 2009 for the highest points earned in Alberta. She was runner up at the Alberta Zone Finals.
In 2011, Michelle won Best Overall Junior at the Alberta Provincials and went on to place 3rd at the Nationals held in Winnipeg, Manitoba in August 2011.

The girls have now aged out and are no longer “Junior Handlers.” Junior Handling has been an amazing experience for both of the girls and has taught them many things, patience, sportsmanship, and caring.

Michelle and Alyssa continue to work for All Breed Handlers and do this on the side when they are available and not attending University.

Needless to say mom and dad are very proud!
